The judges of the 2024 Tejo Wines Competition chose our Casa da Atela Castelão Vinhas Velhas as the Best Tejo Castelão. The awards were revealed on June 21 at the Tejo Wines Gala.
This Castelão comes from a 75-year-old plot of land, the Carvalhita Vineyard. In the glass it is elegant, light but structured, very pure in its aromas and flavors, combining wild fruits with forest floor and other forest notes. The fine barrel work done by winemaker António Ventura gives it excellent dimension.
